    For the first time ever the collages created by Peter Weiss are the focus of a scientific monography. Helena Köhler reflects how she relates to the texts they were based on. Peter Weiss ist als Künstler verschiedener Medien bekannt - seine bildende Kunst wird jedoch sowohl in der Öffentlichkeit als auch in der Forschung erstaunlicherweise wenig beachtet. Dabei stehen in seinen zentralen Werken wie »Der Schatten des Körpers des Kutschers« und »Abschied von den Eltern« Text und Bild direkt nebeneinander.Helena Köhler untersucht erstmals, wie Peter Weiss Text und Collage miteinander in Beziehung setzt, welche Funktionen die Collagen übernehmen und welche Rückschlüsse sich daraus für den Text ziehen lassen.

    Les derniers jours de l’humanité (1922) de l’Autrichien Karl Kraus sont le récit de la Première Guerre mondiale, fruit de la faillite morale de la civilisation européenne incarnée par l’Empire habsbourgeois. Ce travail en propose une lecture par le prisme de la citation, envisagée ici comme arme de combat idéologique, principe de composition dramaturgique et parti-pris esthétique. L’hétérogénéité des discours cités, qui représentent environ 20% du volume de la pièce, a dicté le choix d’une approche interdisciplinaire opérant la synthèse entre narratologie, dialogisme bakhtinien et linguistique énonciative. Cette perspective élargie met en évidence les principes d’écriture suivants : radicale polyphonie, brouillage énonciatif et imbrication mutuelle de la réalité dans la fiction. Parallèlement, l’identification des emprunts citationnels, le traçage des sources et la caractérisation des régimes de ré-énonciation révèlent le fonctionnement autarcique et circulaire de l’économie des discours. Quelles que soient leur nature et leur origine, ceux-ci tendent en effet à fusionner en un discours unique, dont le sujet se voit démis de l’empire qu’il croit exercer sur sa parole au profit d’une normativité qu’il contribue ainsi à édifier et consolider. Il apparaît dès lors que la critique portée par le montage citationnel excède le champ du discours pour embrasser la civilisation moderne dans son ensemble, régie par un double principe de domination et de massification. ; The Last Days of Mankind (1922) by Austrian satirist Karl Kraus is the account of First World War seen as the moral breakdown of European civilisation embodied by Habsburg Empire. This work proposes a reading of the play through the lens of quotation, which acts simultaneously as weapon for ideological combat, principle of dramaturgical composition and aesthetical choice. The heterogeneity of the discourses cited, that represent no less than 20% of the text, led to the choice of an interdisciplinary approach, synthetizing narratology, Bakhtinian dialogism ...
